Rename Item (not file) prompt

Hi! Wondering if anyone could help me...
I'm trying to create a macro for Adobe Premiere that would prompt me to rename a selected item (a clip in the project) so that a dialogue box pops up, I enter the name, hit ok/return and it renames the item what I entered. Is that even possible?
[backstory] In Premiere, I'm often making adjustment layers, which Adobe names "Adjustment Layer" without prompting a name. Things can get messy fast if I don't remember to name the adjustment layer after its intended purpose.
Thanks for your time!

This should be really easy. Make sure your adjustment layer is selected, and then run this macro. It's just using the "select or show a menu item" command. The menu command you are looking for is Clip > Rename.

Duh! Thank you so much!

No problem! Sometimes the easy solutions slip right by us haha. What else are you automating with Premiere? I'm huge into automating PR with KM.
