Replace check mark in Applications Palette

I spent a long time today looking for a way to replace the check mark for the active app in KBM's Applications Palette, as the existing check mark visual is often hardly recognizable especially with a small palette and dark active app icons.

I have searched all icon resources in KBM's resources, but could not find the existing hardly recognizable check mark (see example palette pict).

Does anyone have a tip which resource I should replace?
For example, I would create a red or yellow dot as a new "check mark" in KBM's applications palette.

I would also like to sugest that the space between the X&KM and the first APPLICATION increased as it appears to be a very small area to drag the Applications Palette around the screen.
