I have a macro running that using the custom html prompt. When I try to inspect the html, it leaves the highlighted area on the screen.
Can’t be refreshed nor removed without logging out or restarting again.

Keyboard Maestro: Version 8.2.1
Safari: Version 11.0.3 (13604.5.6)
Mac OSX: 10.13.3 (17D102)
Macbook pro with a 24in monitor attached.
I get completely different behaviour when I inspect an element, it opens a window with all the details (looks kind of like a Safari inspector, unsurprisingly).
But regardless, there is nothing Keyboard Maestro can do about any of this, that is all the system and web kit, so whatever is happening on your Mac, whatever it is different from what I've seen elsewhere, it will be because of preferences or versions of WebKit/Safari on your Mac, and not something I can affect in Keyboard Maestro.
