I would like to make a macro that selects the Google search bar. I know you can press cmd + L to select the search URL but is it possible to make a shortcut that selects the google search bar (eg while in google images, where pressing cmd + L will not search for images but just be a generic search.) Perhaps there is an existing one in chrome that I just don't know about?
You can use the "Focus Google Chrome Field" action for this.
Other than that in Chrome you can just press TAB twice and you will be in the search bar.
Furthermore I myself use the plugin "Vimium" with which you type "gi" and you will be at in the first field as well.
