I am trying to duplicate Windows key + D on a Windows machine with Keyboard Maestro, which would take me to the desktop without having to adjust any of the open windows.
The closets I have figured out how to do this is by using "hide all applications" but I just want to go the desktop and not hide the applications in the process (which may not be doable):
Is the behaviour you get from the Mac’s native ‘Show Desktop’ close to what you want?
It is by default set to the F11-key, toggling to and from the desktop by each press, but this keyboard shortcut can be configured in System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Mission Control > Show Desktop
