Spotlight in Big Sur - Auto-display Preview?

When Spotlight is invoked in Big Sur, the preview pane is hidden by default.

I haven't been able to find a way to change the default.

I believe the preview pane can only be enabled after search results display.

Any ideas for using KM to automatically display the preview pane?

I use the Lacona 2 App via my Setapp subscription and can still enjoy a preview.

Switching away from Spotlight might just be the best answer.
