Stream Deck dropping connection with KMLink

All,

@corcules I set up an old iPad Air 3 earlier this year with Stream Deck mobile. KM link worked fine unitl a recent Stream Deck software update, now it stalls all the time on buttons using KMLink. Basically what happens is when I first use a button with a KM link, it works, but then the next button "stalls." When I check the stream deck panel the window for that button using KMlink shows the specific KM macro greyed out with a spinning arrow icon. It might activate after a few minutes of waiting.

If I shut down the Stream Deck Mobile app on the Mac and restart the button will work for a try or two, then stalls again.

I have reviewed the other threads for solutions. I think I have checked on everything suggested: using latest software, latest Stream Deck mobile software, I made sure Stream deck app had my Elgato Marketplace account entered and I could update plugins, I checked system settings Privacy and Security to see if Elgato can control KM (it was checked), etc. So kind of at a loss because I have a lot of buttons using KMLink.

The Keyboard Maestro plug-in doesn't seem to be an option. Since I am using StreamDeck mobile on an ipad, it is not connected via USB, so no USB device trigger to activate the KM macro... unless I am missing something. Is there another trigger I can use in a KM macro to be triggered from Stream Deck Mobile using the Keyboard Maestro plug?

Let me know.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Robert

Hello @robert7132

The spinning arrow in the SD key config (just near the macro select field) means something wrong with reading KM macros dictionary file.

I don’t know why, i’m in travel now, i will try to investigate deeper on that next week…

Many thanks! I will try to figure out a workaround for now. BTW, I forgot to say many thanks for creating KM Link, I use it a lot!

Safe travels!
