Macro groups can be set up with a choice of options (e.g. "activated for one action when") which include "the hot key ... is pressed".
Suggestion: it might be useful to extend the hot key options to include "is long pressed", "is tapped twice" and the other choices offered by hot keys used for macros.
I have only recently discovered such a "need", and it was easy to work around. However, initially I wanted to try activating a macro group with a long press.
