Just ran across this free command utility: Custom Dialogs With swiftDialog App. You can build custom dialogs with an Execute Shell Script/AppleScript
action in Keyboard Maestro.
That's really slick…I'd love to see something like this in FutureKM, as it'd be great to have that flexibility in dialogs for macros I publish, without having to make the user install another app (and all the path trickery that may result).
-rob.
I'm hoping to replace my CocoaDialog calls with it but agree it would wonderful if it were built into Keyboard Maestro.
Hello Mike and everyone else
As long as your CocoaDialog calls are meant of the time before it was renamed to swiftDialog - I would probably do that, too…
BUT BE AWARE - if the old utility does have support for more than 3 Buttons and you have also more of 3 in use - keep them as they are or rebuild them using ASObjC (as long as it hasn’t been changed by its Developer to support more).
The newer swiftDialog supports only 3 Buttons at max like our standard AppleScript Dialogs.
