I found myself in a situation today where I had to work for 2 to 3 hours without Keyboard Maestro; it was the first time I had done so since installing and configuring Keyboard Maestro.
It took all of 30 seconds before getting frustrated and realizing how much I depend on Keyboard Maestro; banners no longer appeared when coworkers uploaded files to iCloud, compressing files now involved opening an application and running through a myriad of commands, downloaded files no longer went to the correct folder, editing text became difficult without the hot keys for highlighting, strike-through and more, network monitoring through my extender was no longer easily possible, typing became much more difficult without the text snippets, and so much more.
It was as though my workflow had stalled, all of a sudden working became so much more difficult.
The lesson learned; while Keyboard Maestro does have a learning curve. and does take time to configure and tweak, its benefits are multiples of the time invested.
Wondering whether anyone has had a similar experience and, if yes, how they found it to work without Keyboard Maestro.
