This folder trigger not working

I tried to create a simple macro using the - this folder trigger

And set it to ...

  • adds an item

  • trigger all changes immediately

And I set it to simply display some text when triggered.

And when I drag a simple text file into that folder nothing happened.

I am using high Sierra.

q: how can I get it to display the text and show that it is working?

Update: so it does NOT display text breifly - but it does display large text and speak text - so why can't it display text breifly?
