Has anyone else had issues where a mouse click trigger only works if you physically press the trackpad (can't just touch it, even though touching it is executed as a full "click" by the operating system)? Clicking via a touch intermittently works for the Pause Until left mouse button is clicked.

How have you configured "Tap to click" in System Preferences/Trackpad?
Yes I definitely have that setting turned on.
