Two languages on my keyboard

please, I have two languages on my keyboard in my Mac. Could you please guide me on how to create a macro in Keyboard Maestro to switch to the English keyboard layout? Additionally, how can I create a macro to switch to the Hebrew keyboard layout?

Could you also provide links to these two macros?

You can easily do this natively with macOS keyboard shortcuts.

System Preferences :arrow_right: Keyboard :arrow_right: Keyboard Shortcuts :arrow_right: Input Sources

Do you mean like this action does it?

The Set Keyboard Layout action allows you to choose a specific installed keyboard layout. See the System Preferences Keyboard pane to install additional keyboard layouts.

I learn so much here. I didn't even know this action existed. And, if I needed to switch between my layouts, this would be far superior for how I work since macOS's native solution is to cycle through your input sources like ⌘-Tab cycles through applications.

I'll be honest, I didn't know either! I did a search on this website and didn't see it there, but I did a search for "keyb" after pressing (+) New Action" and there it was! I may look smart today, but I'm actually dumb.

I personally use a toggle HE ⇄ ABC AZERTY

To flip from one to the other, the IF action tests for the presence of "ABC" in the active layout name.

Depending on the particular Anglo layout that you are using, you could test for some distinctive string within its name, e.g. "U.S." or "British" etc

My version, for what it's worth is:

Toggle keyboard layout HE ⇄ EN.kmmacros (4.0 KB)
