I am using the USB Device Trigger.
I have it configured as follows:
The device name matches what I find in System Settings:
When I attach or detach the device the macro does NOT trigger.
Wondering whether it is because it is listed as a Display and not a USB / Thunderbolt device per the below.
Would appreciate help in getting this to work.
Thank you.

WiKi partially to the rescue.
I attached / detached teh device with the text insertion point in the nam field and got a different name. I will now test with that name and revert (heading out for dinner)!
I will let you know whether I need more assistance with this.
Stay tuned.
Thank you!

I'm glad the wiki resolved your problem.
The USB Device name (as seen by Keyboard Maestro) rarely matches any other visible name.

Shockingly so!
The USB Device name ended up being "USB Serial"!
Very important to read the WiKi closely paying attention to the details.
Was able to get everything working after adding a brief pause as it takes a couple of seconds for the USB device to connect, problem solved!
