Ok, I use Safari for all of my browsing, but need Chrome for specific work things. It’s generally not a big deal because I can start in Chrome for the websites I need. The biggest annoyance are links from work slack. Is there a way to say “if I click a link in slack, open in Chrome?”
there's a prompt app called Browserosaurus, also allows a favorite browser.
edit, Browserosaurus mentions it works with https://github.com/johnste/finicky to define URL rules
There's also Choosy which includes a number of options, including the ability to specify that links in particular apps go to a specific browser.

Hey @jeremy,
You can change the default browser on the fly after a fashion.
Apple makes you confirm the change, so it's not entirely transparent – but it can be done.
