Where is Keyboard Maestro Engine? enabling ~

Hi and good day,

There is this yellow reminder to enable Keyboard Maestro and Keyboard Maestro Engine in the System settings of macos Ventura .

Keyboard Maestro has already been enabled, but Keyboard Maestro Engine cannot be found, although from the top-menu in macos there is ‘Keyboard Maestro Engine’ with all the different possibilities, such as ‘Start Debugging’ and quit Keyboard Maestro Engine.

So how to give permission to something which is hidden?

Which security setting are you talking about?

Generally the system will add Keyboard Maestro and/or Keyboard Maestro Engine to the setting when it is first attempted.

It is for Screen Recording.

If you search the forum for:

“Keyboard Maestro Engine”

Search results for 'Keyboard Maestro Engine' - Keyboard Maestro Discourse

Note the very first hit...

Here's another tip:

As described in the wiki help linked from (?) link in that warning, I would start with this:

If Keyboard Maestro Engine does not appear in the permissions, create a Screen Capture action and capture all screens, and “Try” the action or run the macro. This should force the system to notice and prompt you for permission.

It also includes how to find the Keyboard Maestro Engine in there.
