I find named clipboards very useful to display app specific information. When I am working in those apps, I type a keyboard shortcut to display its named clipboard.
My suggestion is to emulate the option used by apps like ScreenFloat and Antnotes whereby the named clipboard appears as soon as an app is front window. In their menus, there is a “visibility“ option which contains the option to automatically display certain notes or images in certain apps.
thank you
Unless I'm missing something, couldn't you do this yourself? Set a new macro to trigger when (whatever app) activates. Then just have one action, Display Named Clipboard.
Or are you asking for something more than that?

What does this mean: "to display its named clipboard"? I feel like I'm missing out on something quite useful, but I'm not sure how you use named clipboards like this.
thank you @DanThomas and @DanThomas for giving my question some thought.
If people of your calibre have trouble understanding my question, I am definitely at fault.
certain apps have a "dedicated" named clipboard obviously created by me. Let's take a simple example: an app has a zillion Keyboard Shortcuts and gestures and I want to have a quick reminder on the screen displaying those shortcuts which I commonly use. For other apps, it may be a reference table. For still others, annotated images displaying a procedure. Typical apps are Bear, DevonThink, Scrivener.
would that not mean some kind of Hazel like monitoring which I thought was not possible with KM ?
thank you both
No, there's a trigger for it:

I stand corrected. You are 100% right. Thanks very much. I learned a lot and am already thinking of many uses of this trigger. Thank you very much
But how to you display the clipboard?
This just displays the current value in the clipboard, right?
yes, in the named clipboard, which could have been set 10 years ago.
