Would Timed Triggers Run When a Laptop is Asleep?

I want to run a macro every evening :

However I don't know what will happen if at 19:58 my mac will be asleep. Will it run or just skip it all together?

Hey Nikita,

Keyboard Maestro can’t do a thing when your Mac is asleep.

Schedule your Mac to wake up before the macro time using the system Energy Saver Preference Pane.

Can energy saver still schedule wake/startup if the MacBook Pro is closed (i.e. the screen is folded shut)?
