Hi, I had my Xkeys 24 working fine on my old computer and now I can seem to get it recognised or functional on my new MacBook Pro M2 running Sonoma. I had Maestro Keyboard Version 10.2 and just upgraded to version 11.0.3
Still the same result.
I have tried connecting thru a Type C hub and then direct to Mac. Still no luck.
The behaviour of the XK devices caries from system to system.
You may need to recreate the triggers (as the key can change from system to system), and/or you may need to update the firmware on the devices.
Create a new macro with a new USB Device Key trigger and see if Keyboard Maestro can detect the keys. If so, then you need to recreate your triggers. If not, then you may need a firmware update to the device.
You may be too deep. Before that, in the "Security" section of Privacy & Security, there's an "Allow accessories to connect" option. There may be a notification about your XKeys device there -- or, possibly, you have already refused permission.
Try setting the option to "Ask every time" then plug/replug the device. That should force the prompt again and you can allow and then reset the option to "Ask for new accessories".
Hi Nige,
Thanks for your post.
I followed your suggestion and got the Connect to Mac alert and did that.
However, Keyboard Maestro, still does not recognise the XK24.
I tried the XKeys software and it recognises the XK24.
I have emailed Keys support and when I get an answer, I will post here.
Thanks again. Much appreciated.
