Can't select a hotkey

I just updated to Maestro 9, and now I am not able to enter a hot key. I've checked the existing topic called "Can't select a hotkey" and it did not help. I’m using Mojave, and I’ve check that accessibility access is granted to the maestro app inside of the privacy settings. There is no yellow notification in the bottom right telling me that there is something wrong.
