Error -33933

The Keyboard Maestro Macros.kmsync file is corrupted, these are the steps I took to fix this error.

  1. Delete the current Keyboard Maestro Macros.kmsync file. This file was created when we checked on the General > Sync Macros checkbox.

  2. Back up all your current macros to your desktop. I name this file Global Macro Group.

  3. Close the Keyboard Maestro app. Open the Activity Monitor and search for keyboard maestro, then quit the Keyboard Maestro Engine process.

  4. Now uninstall the Keyboard Maestro app with CleanMyMac X or AppCleaner.

  5. Do a quick reboot to make sure everything is clear.

  6. Install the latest version of Keyboard Maestro app. Create a new Keyboard Maestro Macros.kmsync file by clicking the General > Sync Macros checkbox. It will prompt you to select a location to store the file. I just store this under my Dropbox folder directory like App/Keyboard Maestro for Dropbox to run backups.

  7. You can quickly test to make sure everything is working by creating a new macro to test. I just create a quick macro by opening a browser app. If everything works properly, you can proceed with importing your previously saved Global Macro Group file (Step 2).

Hope this helps other people, so far I've run into this error twice this year.
