How to place text on a palette?

I have this button bar (a KM palette) on which I would like to place buttons with short texts (the Dutch articles "de", "het" and "een"):

Is this possible?

I found that I can draw them in Paintbrush and then paste in KM's icon well:

Will have to do this carefully, to make the height of the icons the same.

How do you use this as a KM palette?
