Changes Made:

  • Added section on accessing KM vars in shell scripts from other apps
  • Added screen shot
  • Reorganized somewhat to make it easy to see/find how to use KM vars

It would be great if someone could add one or two real examples of using shell script from KM.

Looks good. I changed “MY KM Var” to “My KM Var” (and yes, I resisted the urge to change KM to Keyboard Maestro as it is in a quoted string).

The script from @ComplexPoint s macro from Generate a PDF copy of the man page for a shell command would make a good example - simple, generally useful and uses variables.
