Paste Today's Date with Format YYYY-MM-DD

I want to Paste Today's Date with Format YYYY-MM-DD but it seems there is no easy way to do this in KM.

In TextExpander, the year, month and day are separate variables, so I can just specify it like this:

I've not been able to do something similar in KM. Found this thread which makes it seem unnecessarily complicated to do something so simple. Am I missing something?
