Actually I just use regular text - I think they are probably unicode too? Those symbols are from the Mac Character Viewer, Pictographs. There are some good, simple clear symbols in there.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, @Zabobon. Yes, pictographs are unicode.
Since I assumed you were using SF Symbols, I did a quick test and they can be used in macro names and macro group names, and they are rendered as expected when a KM palette is displayed. So it appears that they can be used, but for those that have any cross-platform requirements, I'd avoid them. Since pictographs are picture characters within the unicode standard, they'd be less likely to cause issues.
BTW, I confirmed that pictographs are indeed unicode characters using the excellent and inexpensive iOS/iPadOS app: UniChar — Unicode Keyboard on the App Store
I use this app and Universal Clipboard often.
That’s a really clever way of grabbing them!
SF Symbols are really nice designs. But I'm not sure how to access them without downloading the SF Symbols App. A Google search says SF Symbols are included with Sequoia but I can't see them listed on my Sequoia Mac.
Hello Aurio (@Zabobon)
I‘m sure that if Apple would have made the decision to integrate the App into macOS there would be no Download available. Neither the original App from Apple nor any Third Party App in the Mac App Store.
Same for iOS & iPadOS.
Go for it and download the SF Symbols App. It’s something that is a must have.

Hey Jim (@_jims)
Want to get Apple’s SF Symbols in Unicode?
Download the SF Symbols Reference App for iOS.
Edit:
Be sure you Installed Apple’s San Francisco Fonds on your Mac before using. Otherwise they won’t be rendered.

Yes, I hadn't downloaded it on my current MacBook and I will do now! It's interesting that Google's AI results was so confident but so wrong... my current irritation with everything AI...
It isn’t wrong, though. SF Symbols is included in Sequoia. The symbols are there as part of the OS.
What isn’t there by default is the viewer/catalog app that lets you browse through the available symbols, copy them, export the SVG, etc. Because that’s really intended for developers so Apple doesn’t include it automatically.
Very interesting. So, if I understand, any Mac with Sequoia can display them, even without the App? (In the past if the Mac didn't have the App they wouldn't show correctly, just as missing ? characters.)
Is it possible to access them as a font without the App?
Hi, @Nr.5-need_input ,
Pictographs are picture characters within the Unicode standard, thus be less likely to cause issues than SF Symbols. I may be wrong, but I think the latter are Unicode private, thus they are almost guaranteed to cause issues outside the Apple ecosystem. For the majority of Keyboard Maestro users, that may not be a concern.
Yes, I've have that and, in fact, linked to the same page above.
Apple's SF Symbols.app apple includes some advanced capability well beyond the scope of Keyboard Maestro Version 11.0.3; but here's an informative video for those that might be interested: What’s new in SF Symbols 6 - WWDC24 - Videos - Apple Developer
Hello Guys
Based on this Post I have an update for you. There is also an Equal App for use on the Mac. It’s called San Fransymbols. It gives you also the availability details of the Symbols and let’s you copy this Name and Unicode as well as code Snippets for development with Swift (Swift UI & UI Kit)
Please note that this Application is unfortunately no more available for users running an OS older than Sequoia if you’re haven’t got the App earlier.
Download the San Fransymbols App on the Mac App Store
I unfortunately had forgotten about this Application until today when I recognized it on my Mac. I‘m sorry for anyone who will not be able to use it because he/she doesn’t have Sequoia installed or heard from it when it was available to older OS‘ses.
The last update was 2 months ago to its current Version 7.1.1 (at time of posting)
