I hope others can improve on this and let me know how you did it. Please note you need Google Chrome and the default Twitter Mac app.

Personally, I use IFTTT in conjunction with Keyboard Maestro to send my clipboard to Twitter or Pushover. It's a little more complex to implement but once it's done it's much faster and more efficient than your macro.
