Switching out Macro Menu for Single Program

It's so hard to search for some things. Please direct me to any previous coverage of this topic.

I have a program with 5 or 6 "rewires" of hotkeys to bend it to my will. But periodically I need all my handiwork to go away and for it to operate with its native shortcuts.

The question is this: How do I assign a hotkey to switch the Keyboard Maestro macro group associated with a single program between two mactro groups? In essence, to disable a macro group for one app, and replace it with different macro group?

Have you tried this action:

You can use this action to specify a group that you want to activate or deactivate.

You can place this action into a macro that is triggered by a hotkey. And when you press your hotkey, you can have one group activated by this action, and another one deactivated.

Yes--that's it. I knew it would be simple, but eluded me.

Thanks.

Perhaps overkill but here is some posts that get into the difference between disable and Activate/Deactive if you are really looking for Disable instead and want a visual difference that syncs between machines.
